Cadillac and Infiniti have been increasingly aiming for their German competition as of late. The CTS and M, as mid-size models, are both crucial to each of their respective manufacturers in achieving that goal. Safety is a highly important aspect for customers when purchasing a new vehicle, and all luxury manufacturers aim to score well (and usually do). The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has announced that the Cadillac CTS and Infiniti M are Top Picks for 2010. This in particular is a pretty impressive new entry for Infiniti, showing the brand has really advanced in the area of safety. In terms of insane sports sedans, Audi's RS6 sedan would have to rank around the top of the list. Unfortunately, those of us in the United States aren't able to experience it. Instead, we get the more sedate S6 model that packs 435 horsepower from its V-10 versus 580 (!) hp for the RS6. As if it weren't exclusive enough, Audi has announced two new, limited-edition packages for the RS6. The packages are dubbed Sport (now seriously Audi, a sport RS6?!) and Audi exclusive. They are restricted to just 500 examples of each. The models have a top speed of 188 mph and feature a Carbon design package for the engine compartment, 20-inch wheels, and sports suspension plus (again, as if they weren't already!)  Each will have

Ford's EcoBoost has been a rare engine that has truly lived up to all the hype surrounding it. The V-8 performance, combined with V-6-like fuel economy of the twin-turbocharged engines is pretty amazing. The good thing is that this technology will not be limited to just a few high-end models, it will be spread across the entire lineup over the next few years, coming to 4-cylinder engines as well. To really show the differences in V-8 vs. twin-turbocharged V-6, Ford has offered up this new comparison video of the Taurus SHO EcoBoost against the Audi A6 4.2 FSI V-8. Audi is coming off a record year in 2008, with over 1,000,000 cars sold for the first time. While the company is likely to give up those gains this year, the brand is poised for more success in the future. The goal is for 1.5 million units by the year 2015 or 2016 (originally the goal was 2015 but they delayed it by a year just recently). With that in mind, Audi is working on expanding their lineup with a lot of new models, and is trying to play every release for maximum sales.
