“Traffic Jam” Art in the Mountains of Spain

Traffic jams. For some who live or travel through big cities (or even in smaller ones these days), traffic jams are a fact of life. But have you ever thought of them as art? Me neither. Spanish artist Maider López has though, and the results are pretty interesting.  Its one thing for there to be traffic jams on urban highways and crowded city streets, but what about in the picturesque countryside of Spain? That just doesn't happen. In 2005 López put out a call to people willing to take part and create art. (Corny - I know). British Student Creates Invisible Skoda Fabia

Every once in a while something really unique and different comes along. Witness the invisible Skoda Fabia, painstakingly painted to blend into it's surroundings, creating a fantastic optical illusion. Absolutely amazing! No that is not a computer generated image; it's completely real. It's "invisibility" is an optical illusion, created by (apparently spray) painting the vehicle to match it's surroundings. The "invisible" Skodia Fabia was created by 22 year old British student Sara Watson, who is attending college at the University of Central Lancashire. The Fabia is located at the entrance of her art studio outside and the goal is for you to not see the vehicle as you come in! She says that it's achieving that goal, with people nearly bumping into it, stopping to check twice. It's fitting that
