Crash: Audi R8, BMW 6-Series and a Land Rover

What is it with the high-end cars crashing this week? First the Bugatti Veyron crashing into a lake, next a Ferrari California into construction equipment and then a Aston Martin DB9 crashing into a tree. The Audi R8 has been pegged as a more affordable exotic, and while it might not be up there with Lamborghinis and Ferraris, it certainly is a desired car by enthusiasts. This  one is rare - the crash involves a red R8, a BMW 6-Series and a Range Rover on Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa, California. Apparently the Audi R8 hit into the Range Rover and was hit from behind by the BMW 6-Series. The Range Rover involved in the incident wasn't photographed. Very bizarre to say the least! His design has provided the template for BMW's lineup in the 2000s, with his style first debuting on the polarizing 7-Series sedan. Despite widespread criticism, BMW has gone on to become more successful than ever with the vehicles that he designed. It is much more attractive than the previous model, almost as if the company had continued on the same styling path it was heading pre-Bangle. Some interesting comments were made by BMW Boss Jim O'Donnell when speaking to Automobile Magazine. He said "In my opinion, the next 6-Series is the best-looking car

Look at a Retro 6-Series: RZ-M6

I'm a big fan of Racer X Design's renderings. They've completed some designs that have actually been built, in addition to looks at potential future vehicles like the Bugatti Type 12 Streamliner I've used in previous articles as an example of a future Bugatti sedan. Apparently I missed their latest design that come out back in January, so thought it might be interesting to cover it. Now,  Racer X Designs have come out with their unique take on a new style of BMW 6-series that could be based on the existing model. While I highly doubt BMW would be inclined to take a road like this for production, it's style certainly is  something to think about in terms of a possible high-end model for the brand in the future.
