New Alfa Romeo Milano Images Surface
The Alfa Romeo brand is slated to be the centerpiece of Fiat’s return in the United States. Fiat believes Alfa Romeo can be a force in the market, competing against luxury brands on the high end. The Chrysler partnership is enabling them to do this, but is causing a big change in the model lineup.
Like it? Well, you can’t have it. After renderings and snapshots of the Milano were caught in July, and now new images (in the Alfa Romeo red col0r) have appeared on the internet.
A step above the MiTo, the Milano was found in Chrysler’s internal documents as one of the Fiat vehicles slated for sale in the United States. Since then the plan has changed though, with latest reports saying the car won’t be sold in our market.
Alfa Romeo has been ditching the numerical designations for real names and the new Milano follows that. That’s too bad, because the Milano looks good - very good. As expected, the Milano wears the styling theme that debuted on the 8C Competizione very well.
The car is a five-door hatchback, with the rear door handles hidden to offer an impression similar to a two-door. For now, we’re not supposed to get this car. Who knows though? Plans have been changing so quickly. What do you think, should the Milano be sold in the United States? Check out the rear image of the Milano at the original site here and then voice your opinion in the comments section.

Fiat is driving me crazy, first it’s yes then it’s no then it’s maybe. When GM was involved it was 2007, then 2009 which turned into 2011 and last I read, 2012. Is this how they intend to do business here? I have been ready and waiting to buy a new Alfa for over 10 years, my Milano has gotten very old and is tired.
I don’t care what they decide to call it (Gulietta is very nice). Start sending the MiTo’s and this 147 replacement now, lets get the ball rolling already. Both these cars should have little problem appealing to people not to mention stealing a nice piece of Golf and GTI sales right off the bat. Lets get the Alfa name back out there on the street to pave the way for the upper level rear drive car when it’s ready.
Don’t make me fly back out there to get this done myself.
