The first images of the Lingenfelter 455 T/A Concept were released just a few days ago. Now, live pictures of the vehicle are coming out ahead of the car’s official launch at SEMA.
Lingenfelter is one of a few different companies like ASC that are working to provide aftermarket conversions of the Chevrolet Camaro to Firebird enthusiasts.
The look translates over just as well in real life as it does in the renderings. The front looks like a slightly modified 1970s Trans Am. In the back, the rear has been extended by almost 4 inches and the taillights are custom made.
The interior has seen a few tweaks as well, with blue woven vinyl seat inserts and metal accents on the instrument panel.
Some of the official statistics so the engine are in as well. The engine is an aluminum unit, bored out to 455-cubic-inches (7.5-liters). It is good for a 11.5:1 compression ratio, and engine output of 655 horsepower and 610 foot pounds of torque.
For now the 455 T/A is just a concept – but there is no doubt there is a serious production intent behind it. Lingenfelter says they will produce it if there is enough interest.

ok, let me be the first to say it, since it’s on all our minds.
1) That engine is EPIC. gas flowed LS7 heads, all-alum LS block, 11.5:1 compression means 655bhp ALL MOTOR. EPIC.
2) This car looks absolutely, terrifyingly horrific. Like a chinese kit car assembled by drunk people. The back’s nice but the front is a freaking joke. I’d prefer this engine in a TOPO wide-body Camaro.
3) In fact, I’ve always preferred the camaro over the FireChicken. Maybe that’s why I don’t get it. But holy crap, you can’t say this thing doesn’t look like it ran in to a dump truck. Yuck.
