Amazing is the descriptive word that comes to mind when I first viewed this Jaguar's cockpit, and it really does resemble the interior of a fighter jet aircraft. One reason I have not bought a new car yet is that shopping to me is more fun then buying one, but I think my shopping days may have come to a close after reading this informative article Tony, thanks again for your continued excellent reviews.

[Unfortunately haven't quite made it into the elite of auto-journalism blogs yet, so don't have any contacts so far at Jaguar - but I'm working on the PR contacts so shouldn't be too soon now! ;) ]

Yeah, I was just kidding. I'll have to go check out your post! I'm on board with the "XJ Movement" as well. ;)

Go out and buy one, eh? If I shake down both the couch and the loveseat, I'll be lucky to come up with 59 cents, nevermind 59 grand! Dreams, my friend. Dreams.

I did write about it though. Far less details about features/specs and mostly an emotional piece about how the car makes me feel. (Sadly lacking in today's market, imo.). Linked back to this article and the Jag UK site.

Adnan, if you've got contacts over there inside Jaguar, let them know I'd love to start an XJ movement a la Ford's Fiesta program. ;)

Yeah, I was very excited about seeing this car and it lived up to those expectations. I agree they front and back elements work very well with the design. You might not think so if they were separate but seeing them together looks really good.

Go for it! I say write about it, buy one....then write about it some more once you get it. ;)

It's an outstanding car and one of the few which has sparked the sort of excitement about a new car that we had when we were younger. In the couple hours since I first set eyes on this new cat, I've found those D-pillars to be growing on me. Even the tail lights, with, as someone posted on Twitter, their Oldsmobile Cutlass revival style, work well with the design.

I'm impressed. I want one. I might even write about this car myself. Why not? It's not every day a new model shows up that gets you excited for the sheer style and grace and functionality, right?
