Icy roads are pretty dangerous to thread, especially if one is not that particularly trained or experienced. I wonder though, how much would it cost to outfit the car with these special winter tires?

Haven't had a chance to check out the ads yet, but I agree fully that they're the best part. Mashable or somewhere always collates them together afterwards, I must go and look for that now!

For me the Clint Eastwood "half-time" pep talk advert. It's a great example of how top cinematography and scripting, wins, despite the controversial comments he made about "bail-outs" prior (hello Jalopnik).

As a company who's trying to get seen through quality short film production, these are the type of ads Car Throttle likes watching!

You forgot the statistic in the study that said over 50% of men find their car easier to maintain than their girlfriend. My question... what were the other 50% thinking? :)

Hallo guys!

On the Kia Optima. I recently got into one recently (a 2012 model - imported from Korea) and I somehow feel that they got everything right except for the driver's seat.

Those that are above 5ft 8in and like a more upright, hands slightly bent driving position (Ala 'touring car driver') may actually feel the roof a little too low. My hair was brushing the roof lining due to the panoramic roof/sunroof mechanism eating into the headroom. A Hyundai Sonata does this better (but that car's rear roofline slopes too much until I have to kink my head slightly to enter) or even a Merc CLS which has not such problems at all .

Quite a disappointment in my opinion as everything else seems pretty perfect with the exception of the plastics in the lower parts of the dashboard, and the slightly flimsy to the touch exterior door handles.

It is a pity that Mustangs aren't sold in Britain. Have seen some imports and replicas here, however. They should tweak it for here, in my opinion, so I'm mow working on that petition.

The 300 has never really been a hit here, this new one is much better but I think it's the Alfa Romeo 159 replacement, which the 300 is based on, that everyone's looking forward to more. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

The 'Toyubaru' is top of my list as well!

Oh man, so many drool worth things. Few points.

-The new SL is the R172.
-The old Focus ST was a 5-banger.
-Don't get all excited about the Camaro just cause it's brash and American and has a small block. It's crap. It weighs two tons, you can't see out of it, and the 1.2L smaller Mustang GT 5.0L weighs 500lbs less and steals its lunch money. You guys NEED the Mustang. Start a petition. The Camaro is lame; maybe i'll change my tune when Chevy sends a ZL-1 press car my way. Heh.
-The Optima is great, not exciting, but great.
-What about the Lancia Thesis/Chrysler 300?!?

As per what I'm excited about, from a US standpoint in order

1) FT-86! FT-86! Sure it'll be the FR-S here, but same thing. I dunno about the BR-Z, more money for no more power.
2) Focus ST. We're finally getting it here. The standard 2.0L is so good, but with boost, recaros, big brakes, it'll be awesome.
3) Fiat 500 Abarth - should be here in a few months, might sell my kidney for one.
4) Jag CX-16: oh yes.
5) Alfa 4C: depends on the price point, i guess.
