Panoz Releases Teaser of New Model

These days, it is rare to see a small independent company thrive and be successful. Panoz has defied that usual conclusion, being in existence for almost 20 years. It currently sells the Esperante, as well as providing development services for other manufacturers. Now it is preparing to introduce a new model, dubbed the Abruzzi ‘Spirit of Le Mans’. In keeping with that name, the car is set to be unveiled completely at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France next month. Panoz, an active company in motorsports, won the GT2 class of the race in 2006. Ahead of the unveiling, the company released this new teaser image. The new car will be technologically advanced, debuting new technologies like “REAMS”® - which stands for Recyclable Energy Absorbing

“Barn” Find Of The Century: 1925 Bugatti Type 22 Brescia

Just how far would you go to restore a car? Would you dive to the bottom of a frickin' lake and haul an old wreck of a car just to resurrect it like Lazarus? You would, or at least I would, if it was a 1925 Bugatti. And that's just what some total nut jobs, er, I mean, dedicated gearheads will be doing. When I was a little kid, my dad found a Kaiser Darrin in barn (no, literally in a barn) that was all there, but needed to be gone through and completely restored. They've given it a high-profile spokesman in the form of Justin Timberlake and clearly expect it to form a big part of Audi's sales growth. BMW has the MINI, Audi has the A1 - or so they hope. We aren't sure if the car is coming to the United States but the A1 is going full-throttle in Europe. Audi hasn't wasted any time putting out pictures of the car with the S-Line package(s). There are two S-Line packages available for the A1. The exterior package starts off with a new front fascia with a different bumper and side air vents, a larger roof spoiler, chiseled sill tops and

Bring It/Sink It

Spend any time in a densely populated car forum, and one thing you're likely to hear is some variation on the following phrase: "If America's the most powerful country in the world, and we've pushed the automotive genre farther than anyone else... why do we get all these crap cars, and the rest of the world gets all this awesome metal we can't even get a chance at?" While there are plenty of answers to that question - for instance, models that don't meet crash or emissions regulations, cars that wouldn't have a market in the US (do you know anyone in the US that would buy a Seat? Most Americans would think you're talking about a spot on the bus), cars that manufacturers would lose money
