Audi Releases 2010 Pricing for A4, A5 and Q5

Audi has been doing very well with it’s model line lately, pushing forward as it works to expand it’s reach here and abroad. I’ve been particularly impressed with the three models being discussed in the article, the A4, A5 and Q5.

James just did a post covering the A5 Sportback. It’s a shame it’s not slated to arrive for the United States market! Why global markets would get it and not us – I have no idea.

Audi has inched up pricing for the A4 and Q5. The 2010 Q5 now comes in at $37,350 (up $150) for the standard Premium model. Premium Plus and Prestige check in with rises to $41,400 and $48,850 for the Q5. Some option packages have been changed and added, as well as new interior trim options. Pricing for the A4 is up the biggest amount, seeing a $450 rise to $31,450.

The real news here is the Audi A5. While the others have all saw price increases, the price for the A5 has just been lowered significantly thanks to a new powertrain. For 2009 the base model A5 was priced at $40,700 with a 3.2L six-cylinder. The base model now is Audi’s 2.0T TFSI four. Dropping that engine in has cut the base price by $4,700 to $36,000. What a nice drop for such an excellent car and you don’t sacrifice much with the engine either – the 2.0T TFSI is great!

The Audi A4 and A5 also see updates to their tail lights (now LED) as well as sporting Audi’s third generation MMI system. In items specific to the A5, it gets new wheels for the entry-level Premium trim, as well as new optional wheels for the S5. The S4 receives a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and a new 3.0L TFSI supercharged V6.

Looking good Audi! The updates make a competitive lineup even better. How about that price cut on the A5 though?!
